Claude's crying died down a little as the skeleton let go and disappeared. Though little bits of whimpering still escaped as he tried to calm himself down. He knew Dante could easily bring it back if he wanted to, though he said he wouldn't. Claude just couldn't help it. Things that were dead were meant to be six feet under. It scared him when they weren't...
He nodded in response to everything, though didn't say anything until Dante finished completely. "O- Okay..." he responded, "I'm sorry about it... the bed... It's just- I was scared and- I- I- I'm sorry Dante- You can keep that bed- I don't mind."
Reluctantly, Claude took a drink from the wine glass. It was still pretty obvious he was upset. And scared.
"Maybe we both should just get some sleep." Claude suggested, though he was pretty sure he wouldn't be doing much sleeping.

Dante sighed yet again. Gods, he sighed a lot. He really, really terrified Claude now. Not a good idea. Not a good one at all. "Cled...Jooz' celm down, okey? I'h pro'meez, I'h deed nute mein to scer you. Or herm you een eny vey." Dante poured him another glass of wine, hoping the alcohol would calm his sences.
"...I' tzhink I'h mey hev en extr'reh (extra) per (pair) oov pentz (pants) een my'h beg. I'h coul'd edjoozt to feet you, eef tzhet eez okey." Dante dug through his sachel, and pulled out an old, large pair of pants he had gotten from the grave that he accidentally unearthed instead of his fathers. Yes, it was a dead guy's pants, but it worked.
And Claude didn't know the current condition of its former owner.
"Or, et leizt oonteel (until) your pentz dry'h ooff. Here, try'h tzhem oon."
Dante was not thinking of sleep at this point. Sure, he was tired, sure, he was frightened, sure, Claude was terrified and pee-ed on, but Dante was wide awake. He was getting himself alcohol'ed up, and he needed to protect Claude just incase the assassin came back.
"Teel mie eef tzhey need to be'h edjoozt'ed (adjusted)," Dante said with a smile. He was trying to re-kindle the small friendship they had...before...or at least the alliance they had.

Claude nodded, and breathed deeply, trying to get rid of the last of his crying. He did manage to get rid of the tears, and though there were a few sniffles left, he managed to calm himself. Besides... he was afraid to disobey requests now from Dante.
He took a swig of the wine, and nodded. He tried to relax. He really did. But he couldn't get the skeleton out of his mind. Even if Dante wasn't going to hurt him... that... thing... would...
"Okay... just... turn around first. I don't feel... all that comfortable changing in front of a perfect stranger." Claud said. And then he quickly slipped on the pants once Dante did. They were surprisingly the right fit... aside from the quality was shabby. Obviously they were from someone of a different social class.
"They fit fine," Claude said, turning back to Dante. He smiled, though it was slightly strained. "Merci..."

Dante did turn around, just as he was asked to, but looked over his shoulder a little bit at the man as he changed, just to make sure he wasn't doing something that would harm him.
To Dante's surprize, Claude was actually quite cute underneith his trousers. Blushing, he turned his head before Claude could notice what he was doing.
"Well, thzet eez good. Et leezt you von't need to bie pentzlezz now, be'cooze I'h von't need to edjoozt tzhem." He chuckled a little bit, pouring himself some more wine. He was just trying to lighten the mood a little, as he looked out the window again.
He thought about the idea of him escaping as he watched the blizzard pick up. "...Eef tzhet vez en ezzezzeen (assassin), I'h vonder vhet heppen'ed to tzhe riel driver..." Dante half-muttered to himself, sighing.
"Juz' one tzhing, tzhough," Dante began, turning back to Claude. "...How 'er you plen'ning to help mie lieve vitzh-out Merzy know'hing I'h'm...you know...?" Dante was a bit puzzled by it himself, and wasn't sure how it was going to work out. He was still scared he was going to die, after all.

Claude managed a slight chuckle himself. But only slight. He was very uncomfortable about undressing in front of a man he didn't know. And leaving his pants off for a while would just be more awkward. Not to mention it was freezing and he might start turning blue if he kept his pants off too long.
His smile quickly faded, as Dante realized that the real driver may be dead... or in terrible danger. Claude looked to the window again, the snow still falling strong. There wasn't any way he'd be alive if he was still out there. Claude could only pray.
His attention turned back to Dante as he asked how to get out. Claude thought for a minute.
"Well... how obedient's your horse?" Claude asked. "If we have it... run ahead of us... then you'll have to come in my carraige to catch it, oui? Once we get far enough away from Mercy... voila, you're safe."
He paused, his head lowering. "Do you think that will work?" he asked meekly.

"That may work..." Dante muttered, thinking it over in his head. The only thing that could really go wrong was if Famine does not listen and continues to run...
But that was a problem for the morning.
"Zhe eez eh vell bred end treined horze, zo I'h do noot zee how tzhet vould feil," he continued, thinking about it more. "Boot, I'h hev eh fee'ling tzhet you 'er jooz' ez ti'ered (tired) ez I'h em, zo I'h do tzheenk your zooggezti'one (suggestion) of zleep vould be nize."
He layed down on Claude's bed, looking up to the ceiling. Saying a small, pagan prayer to the gods, making sure that the innocent Driver was safe, he relaxed alittle more. He did not want to fall asleep until after Claude had done so, to make sure.
------------------------------------------
In the morning, Dante was up earlier than Claude. True, he had barely had any sleep, but he reminded himself that as soon as he was in neutral territory, he was safe to rest.
He bent over the fire, with a small fire-poking stick and a kettle hanging from the bar above it. The smell of tea filled the air strongly.

Claude shifted uncomfortably in the soaked bed, glad that finally Dante had let him sleep, and avoid talking for a while. Though a few whimpers did escape, he managed to keep his fear quiet. This of course, was the fear of Dante in the same room, or the assassin returning. He resolved not to sleep that night.
This resolution lasted about an hour. ------------------------------------------------------------- He awoke to screams. He recognized them. It was his father's voice. Same nightmare as every other night. He sat up, only to see his father. Okay... maybe it wasn't the same nightmare. Normally he was in the next room.
Instead, his father was being stabbed... by Dante...
He was about to scream, when three skeletons rose out of the ground, holding him by the arms and around his neck. He tried to scream, but felt his throat constrict as the grasp of the skeletons grew tighter.
His father fell to the floor, dead. Dante pointed at Claude.
"You're next-" Dante rasped, and everything went black. ---------------------------------------------------- Claude sat bolt upright, crying and covered in cold sweat. He noticed Dante wasn't in his bed, and panicked for a moment. Even after noticing Dante making tea a few seconds later didn't calm him. He had to tell himself a few times that Dante was just as scared as him, and wasn't going to kill him, before totally calming down and wiping away the tears.
"Bon... bon jour..."

Mercy had awoken with what was debatablely the worse hang over in the history of mankind. Gripping her head, she mumbled quietly to herself and rolled over to be sick. Rolling off the edge of the bed, she hit the floor with an 'ooph!' before being sick on the floor. Flopping to the side of it, she moaned again, feeling absolutely terrible.
Laying there, she tried to remember how she got into bed. She remembered she'd gone out into the snow...then sat down to warm up and had a drink...
...Geeze, how many did she have? She didn't even remember the conversation with the assassin. Standing up, leaning against the wall, she put a hand to her head again. Thankfully it was dark as she made her way out the door. Half-stumbling to Dante and Claude's room, she knocked every so quietly on the door, leaning against the frame.
Mercy couldn't believe herself. She was suppose to be protecting them and she'd gotten completely wasted. Her hair was a terrible mess, and her clothes were disheveled at best. Not to mention she'd left all of her weapons in her room. Still...at least she was managing some movement.
